Step 1 — Identify your calibre
The calibre is the bullet diameter. It is listed in the firearm's documentation and often stamped on the receiver. The most common rifle calibres:
- .223 Rem / 5.56×45 — AR platforms, CZ Bren, Saiga-223
- 7.62×39 — AKM, Saiga-7.62, Vepr
- .308 Win / 7.62×51 — bolt-action rifles, Saiga-308, T-5000
- 6.5 Creedmoor — precision bolt-action platforms
- 9.3×62 — hunting, Browning X-Bolt, Sauer 100
- 7.62×54R — SVD, MR-514 (Tigr)
- .300 Win Mag — long-range bolt-action rifles
The MBC calibre must exactly match your barrel calibre — or be 0.5–1 mm larger. A smaller MBC bore will contact the bullet, which is dangerous.
Step 2 — Identify your barrel thread
A barrel thread is cut by a gunsmith or the manufacturer at the muzzle. Without a thread, no MBC can be installed. Two standards exist:
Metric threads (common in Russia and Europe):
- M14×1 — Saiga .223, Vepr-12
- M15×1 — Saiga-9, Saiga-410
- M18×1 — Saiga-308, Saiga-7.62
- M22×1.5 — large hunting calibres
Imperial threads (US platforms):
- 1/2×28 UNF — AR-15, .223/5.56
- 5/8×24 UNF — AR-10, .308/7.62
- M13×0.75 — German hunting barrels
If your barrel has no thread, a licensed gunsmith cuts one.
Step 3 — Check compatibility

For non-standard combinations — submit a request. We produce custom MBCs for any thread and calibre.
Step 4 — Select a finish
Titanium Technology offers five finish options:

Step 5 — Place your order
When specs are confirmed:
- Select a model in the catalog or use the order form
- Specify calibre, thread, and finish
- Allow 1–2 weeks for manufacturing

FAQ
Can I install it myself? Yes — installation is threading onto the muzzle. Torque to 30–40 N·m using a barrel nut wrench.
Should I use thread-locking compound? Not recommended. Loctite degrades at heat and may make removal difficult. Correct torque is sufficient.
Will the MBC affect point of impact? Minimally. It is advisable to check zero at 100 m after installation before serious shooting.
