Below the 140 dB line — single impulse under the NIOSH limit
The 0–100 rating follows the report formula: 0 — bare muzzle (≈170 dB), 100 — a nominal comfort level (125 dB). The red tick on the ring marks the 140 dB NIOSH limit: above it even a single unprotected shot is hazardous to hearing.
Listed in the report as “TT Integral 350/46” (catalog name — ДТК-П INTEGRAL PLUS). The series was tested on the same day, same barrel, same ammo lot.
Method: .308 Win (Barnaul FMJ, single lot), Tikka rifle with 20″ barrel, Ekofizika-110A class-1 sound level meter, peak dBZ at 1 m left of the muzzle, average of 5 scored shots. Bare-muzzle control read 167.5 dB at the microphone's 170 dB ceiling: the real level is higher, so all reduction figures are lower-bound estimates. Every −10 dB is perceived as roughly twice as quiet. A closed-type muzzle device is not a silencer; hearing protection is recommended for any shooting. Full report is in Russian.
